Varkala

According to Hindu mythology, Varkala is a stretch of land created by Lord Narada by throwing a shawl made from the tree’s bark (Valkalam) . Acclaimed as “one of the must-see destinations of a lifetime”, this little hamlet, just 55 kms north of Trivandrum in Kerala, is remembered for its virgin beaches, red scenic cliffs, stunning sunsets and rejuvenating mineral springs.

Only a lucky few are fortunate enough to take a lavish dip in the uncrowded beaches of Varkala that’s dotted with cliffs and peppered with slivery black sand. Sinner or Saint, you can splash in the waters of the Papanasam Beach, believed to wash the sins of the body and mind.

The Sanctum Spring Beach Resort, Papanasam,Varkala beach is a unit of “Keartheeram Tours Resorts Pvt, Ltd. Situated on south cliff beside the Helipad at Varkala beach just 55 Km north of Thiruvananthapuram. , Overlooking the unbelievable expanse of the emerald green waters of the Arabian sea, stands this architectural masterpiece. We are blessed with 17 rooms, broadly classified in to two categories, namely Executive A/c & Suite.

We are more than pleased to present to you our tariffs for both Season & off Season, please find the same furnished below. (Tariff is on CPAI, i.e. Room + Breakfast)

Our Rack Rates – Season (1st October 2010 to 31st March 2011)

Extra Person (Child) 450/- Net on CPAI, Extra Person (Adult) 900/- Net on CPAI * A reduction of 15% is applicable for Non A/c Rooms & Single Occupancy for both categories. * A Peak Season Hike of 25% will be added to the Published Tariff from Dec 20th to Jan 10th * A compulsory supplement of Rs 1000/- & 2500/- will be charged over and above the peak season hike of 25% for Christmas & New Years Eve respectively.

Suite	4000 + 12.5% Tax [Currency Converter]

Meal Plans

All the rates furnished above are in Continental plan .However “The Sanctum Spring” offers other meal plans too such as: – American Plan & Modified American Plans too for which Rs 350/- Per meal / Per Person will be charged.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation received up to 3 week prior to arrival: 80 % will be refunded
Cancellation received between 2 weeks and 1 week: 50 % will be refunded
Cancellation received within 1 week prior to arrival: No refund.

Kappil Beach

Located just 5 KM away from Varkala, you can see the lake merging into the sea here.

Kappil boat club is a recent venture in the back water tourism in the area. Kappil is 6kms north of varkala. The people travelling in trains and buses through the area can enjoy the scenic beauty of the estuary in between Edava and Kappil . It is fascinating. Vettekkada, near kappil and varkala is a spectacular beach.
